Casa Esmerelda, despite its wonderfully romantic Latin name, with its connotations of white adobe walls, terracotta roof-tiles, orange groves and long, languid siestas, is in fact a small, redbrick townhouse in Perth, Western Australia.  The lady of the house, the very British Sra. Esmerelda, lives with her Kiwi husband, a spinning wheel named Ethelred, and boxes upon boxes of luxury yarns.  This is her story…
